A car is one of your largest investments. In order to protect that investment and save money, it’s necessary that you keep up with your routine car maintenance. Maintaining a car is what keeps it running smooth, and proper maintenance can prevent bigger problems and expenses later on down the line. Your Infiniti dealer of Washington DC thinks there are two main areas of car maintenance that you won’t want to skip:
Oil and Filter Changes – unless otherwise indicated by your Infinity manual, your car should have an oil change every three months or 3,000 miles driven. Some of the newer cars can go longer in between oil and filter changes, but make sure to follow the recommendations for your car for optimal performance.
Rotate and Replace Tires as Needed – tires wear out. To prevent them from wearing unevenly or too rapidly, it’s suggested that they get rotated about every 6,000 miles. If you choose not to have tires rotated, they’ll wear out long before their expected lifetime. If you don’t get the tires aligned after rotating, you could face having to purchase new tires much sooner than expected.
Brakes – there are no brakes which will last forever without needing to be replaced. If your brakes start making noise when used, or need more pressure to work than usual, see your Infiniti dealer for service as soon as possible. Replacing brakes before they get too worn out keeps you safe, but also prevents the need to replace rotors, too, which is a more expensive repair.
We can provide service for both new and used Infiniti cars when they need oil changes, brakes or tire rotation and alignment, among other maintenance, to help you get the most out of your investment.
